Aging really does occur from the top of our heads to the bottom of our feet. An aging woman goes from "open toe" to "hammer toe". From "Stiletto" to "ortho". Pedicure to Fungicure. It's not for the faint of heart. This is why I really do like Comfortview Women's foot ware. I purchased these boots to wear to a family wedding in August. I now need a wider width thanks to a fun little bunion, who took up residence in the neighborhood, on my left foot, a few years ago. If you ask me, she appears to be working on an expansion to her home. Then there is the second toe, on my right foot, who has become a carpenter's apprentice. Her favorite tool is the "hammer". She has made constructional changes from the original blue prints. When she goes to work, her presents is load and annoying.When choosing the correct size, now that I have some constructional changes to neighborhood, I found Comfortview's measuring directions very helpful. I wasn't sure the width I really needed. With their help I was able to find just the correct fit. The pair works beautifully. I do recommend this brand and these boots. After all, not only are the "Boots made for walkin'" but so are my feet!I was worried that the upper shaft of this boot would be too wide but it fits nicely. Nice quality.The size is perfect And I have big legs from ankle to calf. It fits my legs and comfortable.Great and stylish concealer of swollen ankles. Fits well over leggings and long slacks.Replaced microfiber boots that I loved and expect equal wear and value from these.I ordered this boot in size 10.5 WW (extra wide) as a gift for a relative with extra wide calves. When the boots arrived I did a flat measurement across the top opening of the boot. The outside measurement across the top of the boot side to side was 8.5 inches meaning the outside circumference of the boot opening is approximately 17 inches. I would estimate the actual interior circumference at the top of the boot to be a little less at about 16.5” due to the folded seam edge at the top of the boot. Unfortunately that size will not work for my relative or others with calf measurements above 16.5 to 17 inches. I wear a size 10 wide in a boot and tried them on just to test the sizing. They worked for my 10 W size, but I definitely do not think they fit like a a 10.5 WW (extra wide) boot. So I would say these boots run small both in width and in length and the calf circumference on the extra wide sizes probably are not sized up very much. The quality of the boot seemed nice, however.The product is as described: faux suede, rubber soles with a slight heel and texturized for traction. As a fashion statement, I like them. However, as other reviewers have noted, these tend to run narrow. I initially purchased the same size as I always wear, in part based on the fact that I own other Comfortview shoes that fit me perfectly and are wide enough to accommodate heavy fleece socks. These boots, however, could barely accommodate my foot and I could not wear even thing ankle socks without the boots being too tight. So, I decided to exchange them for a wider size.The exchange process was onerous. Woman Within does not accept exchanges from Amazon, so the boots had to be returned, I had to wait for my refund, and then the boots needed to be reordered. The new pair (which is in W rather than M) fits me much better. I can wear socks with them (a must for cold and snowy weather). The zippers are a little difficult to pull up, but that may be a problem that takes care of itself over time and use. The right boot is a little tight over the ankle, but not something with which I cannot live.All in all, this are nice boots, particularly for the price. I do recommend getting them a little wider than usual, however. I also recommend spraying them with a waterproofing spray before using.when they say its a wide calf .... believe them!! Im the happiest lady this year because i finally found a wide calf boot that really is a wide calf boot!!! They also fit my wood feet!! One calf and foot is one size larger also!!! I could stand in these for hours! no rubbing!! Once more they dont look like clod hoppers!! My size 11 actually look dainty! ps Im a bit of a leather snob also I wouldnt put plastic shoes on my feet.... but this new fabric looks and feels like suede with breathability!!I ordered these in a wide foot but they aren’t that wide. The slouch part of the boot is wide. They are nice though
