I'll have to do a little spackle repair, but that happened when I took the old blinds out. This went in great and is really solid. Screws were long enough to get into the beam and the actuator mechanisms work great!As other have said, they are darker than the photo, They are also thin, but don't sag so this shouldn't be an issue. They went up quickly and work perfectly. I think I'll be happy with them.Product comes in darker than ordered. Product has a feel and look of vinyl even though it is a very thin layer of wood. A bit pricey but well worth it, looks nice and my wife loves it. Makes our living room look fancy. The strings have a wood bell at ends which makes it look fancy. I did checked at Menards and for thicker wood It would have costed me about $1,600 for all blinds ordered - for my order I paid about $700 at Amazon.Blinds were a perfect fit and came as advertised. Real wood with total light blockage. A little on the high side of pricing but you get what you pay for!The Walnut color was too dark. It looked black. It did not look brown like the Amazon picture.I love these! I need more! A blind quote for a new house was crazy expensive. This way I can do a few windows at a time.Love it!!
