This brace is ideal for treating or preventing the following injuries: inversion ankle sprains, eversion ankle sprains, and unnatural rotation of the ankle. The donjoy velocity ankle brace has a lightweight, low-profile design that easily fits into your shoe, giving you the extra support you need without bulkiness. The anatomically designed bilateral hinges allows for normal dorsiflexion and plantar-flexion at the ankle. With R3 (rapid-rigid-ratcheted) technology, this brace provides circumferential tibia/fibula compression. The rigid uprights provide extra protection to your ankle during impact. The donjoy velocity ankle brace is available in three models. The ES model offers extra support and rigidity, the MS represents moderate support, and the LS offers light support.

The brace itself is really comfortable and supportive. Unfortunately, these guys keep sending me a left foot instead of a right foot brace as needed. The left fits ok on the right but is more comfortable on the foot it was meant for.Wow, I wish I would have found this brace 3 months ago! I am a female, and wear a shoe size 8.5 and the Small fits perfectly! I have always worn wide calf boots, so finding an ankle brace that would fit my calf was a task. Thankfully this brace comes in wide calf! It's a little cumbersome in a tennis shoe but no where near as uncomfortable as my ankle feels with out the brace. I love the extra support, I can loosen it when I'm sleeping and tighten it back up when I'm up. **UPDATE- after almost a month of wearing this brace I can no longer get it tight enough to get the full support that I need, now I'm no where near as happy with it.**I have thick calves so the regular sized ones were just so uncomfortable. These are ok. They are sturdy and fit my leg but still not super comfortable because of the plastic that your foot sits on. It might work for you though I would try it if you are in pain and have thick legs.I love love love how this brace has help after surgery
