I used to wear Danskos years ago before I had orthotics and found they hurt the top of my feet. Even though the sales person said they ran wide, they were too narrow for me. The wide XP Pro finally solved that problem! I’ve had major knee surgeries on both legs and seriously struggle to find wide shoes that accommodate my orthotics (collapsed arches with severe pronation) and *stabilize* my knees. These shoes do all of that and have seriously changed my life! No more ugly tennis shoes or poor quality leather Alegrias for me! These are stylish and SO comfortable that I no longer have to switch shoes mid-day to avoid knee swelling.With the comfy insole removed they feel too big, so I’ve added some generic thick foam inserts to take up some of the space. I can also get away with wearing my orthotics over the Dansko inserts for a snugger fit. I’m hoping they come out with more colors in this style soon! I’d love pairs in tomato red, mustard, grass and loden green, bronze, plum, and a deep navy blue. I’m SO happy to have Danskos back in my life again - and this time with zero pain and mega comfort! More, please!
