Great shoes. Very comfortable.JbReturned to seller - quality not as expectedVery disappointing quality for the price (RRP £79.99 at the time of purchase, I paid £66). I'm not a hardcore walker, I generally just go for stroll of a couple of miles a few days a week, and the rest of the time my shoes get very light use, so I expected more than a measly 3 months before any holes appeared. It appears I expected too much. After aproximately 3 weeks the front bumper on the right shoe had started to lift and in the last few weeks the fabric on the right shoe has torn, leaving me with a fairly sizable hole.On the plus side, these were relatively comfortable, though the instep in the right shoe did feel slightly lumpy and less comfy than the left shoe.I've had shoes for half the price in the past that have lasted longer than these.Look well made and comfortable.The main reason for buy was for grip I'm always slipping on wet pathments and I thought these would solve this but I was totally wrong.Maybe they grip better on rough ground while hiking. But useless on flat surfaces especially if damp or wet .I feel them slipping all the time .So can only wear them on dry days.Up date had them a year wearing well but left shoe now squeaks as I'm walking. I really hate shoes that do that.I bought these to replace an old pair of walking shoes whose soles had started to squeak too much. I have now used them for a few walks in the local hills. They needed no significant breaking in, and they are suitably wide: I normally take a size 11 wide fitting. On boggy ground and stony hill paths they feel very stable and the vibram soles are properly stiff. A big plus: the flat laces stay tied without needing a double knot!Out of the box these trainers looked very well made and were very comfortable over the first few dog walks. Must admit I normally buy more expensive brands but Mountain Warehouse might in future become my go to trainer for this type of activity. Haven't tested the waterproofness yet as the weather has been much drier here in Scotland than usual. Having said that I am very hopeful they will keep my feet dry and last well. My only gripe is the laces have already started to show wear and tear after about ten outings, either I am too hard on them or they are not up to scratch hence the 4 stars.Walked about 100 miles in these and the tread is disappearing fast - will try to update this review when it's actually worn off. Grip is poor, especially on wet tarmac or paving stones.Very comfortable, no need to break them in, but very disappointing lifespan. Shouldn't need to buy 2 pairs every year for light daily walking.
